Hey all. The summer solstice is almost upon us, so give Set Sail a spin in celebration! I was listening to 'Humania' the other day, I think its quite a fantastic little EP. We are in Portland at the moment, gearing up for a few select shows this summer. We're planing to demo some new songs in the coming weeks, including track one off Horses Galloping, our next release. Yes, we know how the record is going to start... and end for that matter... i think.
We can still use some help spreading the word about this little seven year project we have going, so if you aren't already sporting one of our fine t-shirts, go to merchnow. com and order one up. At the same site, you can also find 'Did You Know People Can Fly?' for sale, with only a few copies left. If you want to see a live show we only have a couple this summer, as we'll be focusing on writing, so make it a point to come out. Have some fantastic sun months.

So here's the scoop. In 2003 we released our first full length album entitled "Did You Know People Can Fly?" We only had the money to press 1000, and a good chunk of those were stolen along with our trailer a couple years ago in Florida.
We want our fans to have a fair chance at owning this record in its original form, so we are doing a LIMITED re-press of Did You Know… with all original artwork by Maria Angelo. The album is going to be sold exclusively online at our web-store, and once they are gone, they are GONE. This will be the last time Did You Know… will appear in this form, this is it. Pre-orders start soon, there are not very many being made, when they are gone, they are GONE. Enjoy.

An update? What's this you say?
The ball is finally rolling again, this is good for some of us.
You can look forward to some exclusives on the way, including some other surprises.
Not to mention site construction. :)
I was supposed to make mention of this long ago, but for all that missed the Bend, Oregon show with Ayin....
sucks for you. Chemical Dependence man seriously.
Anyways, that's all for now!

Howdy there boys and girls! I figured it's time for another update. Yes, I did have an accident. I am doing much better, though I already posted in the forums about it. I am now working towards getting the site to grow. The forums will look more to specs and Discography is expected to be the first
matter of business. I am really excited to get to Tabs and I am sure, a lot of you other musicians are too.
Now, that's the real news. The rest is more of a personal rant. In my sedated, bed-ridden state I have had a lot of time for philosophical pondering. I appreciate all the support, but honestly I couldn't have survived without it. I have had the luxury of lying in bed with Set Sail on an ipod (Thanks sis) and a great pair of headphones.
What I am truly trying to say, is if you are waiting for this album, then I encourage to you continue to do so. Personally, I don't know how to describe it other than the most beautiful music ever to grace my ears. I have been listening to Kaddisfly since DDYPCF? I was entranced by the inspirational lyrics, the haunting rhythms, completely original sounds and artistic style. The music made me want to be a better person and Buy Our Intention, made me feel elated and so much more.
I have grown since then and so has the music. I am very proud of what these guys have done, they deserve more credit than they get and they are far more humble than I believe they should be. I aspire to see them get that appreciation they deserve.
I heard some people describe this music as being very emotional, but I don't think that even graces the thinnest of the many layers that comprise this music. This music has changed my life forever and I can say that about hardly any other
musician(s). For me this music has transcended what was possible. I know others can confirm this.. Tucker?
It's easy to feel helpless, when you lose what control you felt you had. For me that was my car, my ability to walk, I can work from home, but can't get to my job. It hurt my loved ones and girlfriend, my kung fu, my freedom to travel. I became very discouraged, while lying in bed with that ipod and those wonderful headphones, I engaged myself through the entire journey and by the end of Campfire I was already in tears. And I will let you all find out if you don't know, but by the time the I felt the epic nature of Via Rail and of course the songs before, my soul was sundered and reassembled, but for the better.
I felt alive.
And I truly believe that it was responsible for my recovery thus far, especially spiritually.
I have never felt this way, and should not know if I ever will. It took time to understand and I am sure it will for everyone. Because there is literally so much involved.
For this reason, and not alone, I pay to host and build this site. I feel it is that important. People need to find this music. I implore all of you to share this music with anyone, especially those you love. I know even now that all these words insufficiently describe what I am trying to convey...
It can only be felt.
